Matthew 18:1-5 (NKJV) At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”
1. We have to repent from the heart that longs for recognition, position, or respect
Repent from a manipulative heart. Stop following God because we ‘want’ a big name, position, wealth, blessing, anointing, power, etc. Be like a child who wants to be close to Jesus for seeing the Father in Him – no other motivation but to stay close/attached to Jesus! As long as we can interact with Jesus, our heart is satisfied. Jesus becomes the center of our heart’s attention and satisfaction.
We must live with such condition of heart every day. For that’s what enables us to ‘enter into the unshakable Kingdom’. We won’t seek for novelties. We always feel safe and satisfied as long as we are near to God. We will never ‘fall into various temptations and trials’. For what we desire is only to know God and His Word!
2. Be like a child who easily believes his parents
Holy Spirit wants us to believe our Father in heaven. But what makes it hard for us to believe in God and His word? It’s because we’ve already believed in other things, such as negative facts, money, and what this world says (although it’s a mere lie). Such is the molding of this world that we should dismantle and remove by the work of the Word and Spirit.
I believe, the only way to dismantle this world’s molding is by interacting with God’s word and reality more frequently and more deeply. The more we often associate with God, the more we will know Him and believe. Read the word, meditate it, declare it, build our inner man; these things will make us someone who easily believe.
When we become someone who easily believes, our life is delightful before God’s heart. If our life delights His heart, the Kingdom of Heaven will fully back up our lives. The power of the kingdom becomes real for us. What we declare will take place just like that. We live in God’s world, where miracles, wonders and extraordinary signs become so real.
3. Repent from a life that is filled with melancholy, tears, and inner conflict
A true child is always cheerful, not harboring vengeance, and always want to be joyful. That’s why God wants us to become like a child, but this world wants us to live in fake joy, sadness, and grief. Our part is to REJECT that mold of this world! Never think that a life that is melancholic, sorrowful, and filled with conflict is normal. It is not! Receive the truth of God’s Word! He wants us to be joyful at all times! And everything outside of God’s word is a life that is FAKE.
I believe, when I ‘become like a child’, I will become those whom the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to!
Matthew 19:14 (NASB) But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
By becoming like a child, I have the power of that Kingdom. So wherever I go, the government of Heaven will manifest into reality. What was impossible becomes possible, and what didn’t exist is created into existence! #ILoveGod
