Ephesians 5: 15-18 (NKJV) See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
People usually do a lot of self-evaluation at the end of the year. What has been achieved and what has not yet been done over the past. Then from the results of the self-evaluation they make a new plan to be used as a guide for the new year. When I do a self-evaluation and pray for the planning of the next year, the verses above speak very strongly in my heart.
1. We must keep living in high spiritual awareness.
Most often there are many of us who seek the reality of God (praying, reading the Bible, fasting) only when we are going to do a ministry task. While we are ‘being free’, we are living recklessly.
God affirms me that we must continue to have daily lives (not only when we are doing a ministry) that is always dedicated and devoted for Him only. Another term is to live everyday as a Nazarite of God. Living as a Nazarite of God means we live by focusing on the mission or task that God has revealed for us to do or in other words, we live our days with a promise or vow that we declare before God.
God ever stated to me that during the year 2020 there will be a lot of great breakthroughs that He is going to perform over His church and His people. It means God is looking for people that He can use to be the carriers of His presence and present the breakthrough for His people!
This is an opportunity that God offers to us: Will you be the bearer of My presence and present a breakthrough for My chosen people? When we respond to the offer of God, we will position and prepare ourselves to live as Nazarite!
2. Guard the level of the fullness of Spirit in our lives to keep increasing.
The prophecy of Ezekiel 47 affirms that the flow of living water (a picture of the fullness of the Spirit that every believer should have) continue to increase. From the flow of living water as deep as the ankle to be increase into a great river! The living water will increase when there is someone who ‘measures’ it – ‘measure’ is written in the Hebrew which is Mâdad, – which can be translated: To extend/ strech oneself, stretch/ enlarge oneself. It needs an action of ‘forcing ourselves’ in training to build spirit man, so we can keep increasing of the fulness of the Spirit or the depth of the flow of living water in us.
I am sure, when we give ourselves to live as Nazarite of God, the Holy Spirit will lead us to strecth our spiritual capacity. There are trainings that the Holy Spirit will do over our lives – sometimes it just seems to be ‘pushed’ to do that spiritual training. Holy Spirit will challenge us to read the word longer, more than usual; pray longer, more intense than usual; worship expressively and intensely than usual.
One thing for sure is when Holy Spirit strechts our spirit man, follow it diligently. Continue to do this program of capacity expansion that Holy Spirit will immediately start in our lives.
Prepare yourself and immediately ‘join the club’ – live the program of the spiritual capacity expansion that the Holy Spirit will do in order to give birth revivalists, reformers and builders in the Spirit and the world upheaval that He will bring up in 2020. #ILoveGod
