Jeremiah 1:4-10 (NASB)

4 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then I said, “Alas, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.”

7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak.

8 “Do not be afraid of them, For I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.

9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

10 “See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant.”

From the above passage, I captured several things:

1. To finish His will on earth, God has given each one of us a special assignment

So, we don’t have to be ‘jealous’ when seeing other’s assignment and calling, moreover to compete out of envy (wanting to receive approval that God uses us more than others). Our part is only to function optimally in our portion and appreciate God’s grace in others as one united body of Christ

2. The more we could see our identity in Christ, the more we could be humble as a person

The work of the Spirit will subdue pride in our life. At the same time, it also builds wholesomeness in us. Therefore, we won’t have low self-esteem anymore, but become sure about our identity in Christ and about our function in His will. Through it, we won’t be disturbed by the presence and function of others

3. Consistently encountering God personally will make Holy Spirit reveal to us about our true identity and destiny in Christ

So, it’s impossible to reach our true identity and destiny through human ways or psychological knowledge and tests.

When it comes to our identity in Christ, the most accurate source of its revelation is Christ Himself, not others! That’s why we have no other alternative. We must fellowship with God consistently, continuously, and grow intensely. That’s the only way we could receive the revelation of our true identity in Christ!

4. After we’ve received the revelation of our identity in Christ, all our limitations will be removed

God will equip us with His power and strength to finish His will! We will also experience so tangibly that God is with us. As a result, situations, circumstances, and people will respond to us differently. Because we carry the power and authority from on high. These elements will go hand in hand to realize God’s agenda!

5. Whoever our true identity in Christ is, God will give His word to us

That word is our weapon to accomplish His will! That’s why we must make sure that we receive His word every day.

Living only from His word must not stay as a mere slogan. It must become our everyday life! We must keep pushing into His presence daily to experience the touch of His word

6. Promotion is in God’s hand, not man

Our part is only to listen to His word and obey. By doing so, God will lift us with the power of His hands. If He has lifted someone, no one will be able to bring them down. However, we must make sure that we are not pursuing after promotion but God alone.

Our heart inclination must stay sincere. Because the essence of promotion is to produce greater impact using God’s power, not our personal position or pride!

I believe, when our heart inclination stays straight and sincere, God will have the freedom to guide our path. He could raise us as His righteous people – we will keep shining brighter and brighter until God’s fullness is made real in us! #iLoveGod
