Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Holy Spirit ensures me to keep ‘alert’ by reminding me that verses above. Without realizing it, we tend to focus on external things, and finally we lose our awareness on the spiritual realm where the enemy keeps moving there. The Spirit affirms me: take control the spiritual realm by the streams of living water and the truth of His word. Keep our heart (spirit) and mind that are a connector an monitor to the spiritual realm.
Jesus revealed the understanding for us about what is happening in the spirit realm: that the unclean spirit does like a barren, dry and an empty place. It means the enemy will freely attack us when we are dry. An arid and dry place talks about ourselves that do not spring up the living water and an empty place talks about ourselves that are not filled with the word (Matthew 12:43-45).
Indeed, as a matter of fact we often ignore that thing so that we no longer focus on guarding our heart and min with vigilance. We live our daily lives without flowing the living water and meditating the word. This is a BIG HOLE for the enemy to attack us. We’d better SPRING UP THE LIVING WATER WITH BIGGER SCALE (starting the day by experiencing the visit of the word and Spirit) instead of struggling with people, situation and condition tat are ridden by the spirit of death, hatred and anger.
Look, our warfare is in the spirit. But in the physical realm, the ‘enemy’ will use dry and empty ‘people’ around us to an ‘attack’! so, make sure we are clean (not dry and empty) so that we can fight strongly in a right ay against people, situation and condition in this physical realm.
Keep focusing in the spirit – focus on springing up the living water in the warfare. Don’t be tempted to do an ‘attack’ (bursting the anger) in the physical realm. Try to constantly spring up the thanksgiving, prayer and hope through our mouth. Realize this, we are actually being placed by God in thee midst of the “dry and empty” generation.
Matthew 12:43-45 (NKJV) “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
So don’t ask God to take us out of this wicked generation. Because God puts us there to flow the life. Stop grumbling and questioning about people and situation that we are facing around us. That is our portion of the warfare that we must go through by always springing up the living water and His word. The point is just do our task, the rest is God’s.
We surely win this, for we are more than conquerors. Just make sure we walk with God who gives the victory (flowing the streams of the living water and filling ourselves with His word.
I believe, this is part of God’s plan to rise us like Samuel. Though we keep facing people who are dry and empty, but it is supposed to make us pursue God more heartedly and grow in His word significantly. It makes our stature go higher and we are set high above by God to become influential, renowned and respected people in a nation. #ILoveGod
