Colossians 2: 6-15 (NKJV) As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Referring to the verses above, we can find the essence of why God brings us as believers to be able to connect with the dimension of the spiritual realm. It’s not for experiencing the ‘adventure’ of various spiritual beings or other spiritual manifestations. The purpose is to bring every believer to enjoy the reality of death with Christ in order to experience the fullness of Christ in daily life!

For more systematic, I can explain as follows:

1. In the spirit, since the first man fell into sin, then all mankind was determined to live in the power of sin, but since the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead, there has been a very fundamental change in the spirit realm – we are no longer sinners but redeemed people.

Now, every believer who opens their heart and decides to believe in the sacrifice of Christ will experience something divine in their lives – and all this happens in the spirit realm! Everyone who believes is ‘lived up’ again – means, they have the access to get connected with the existence of the Father. We are even given a position as His children! (John 1: 12-13)

2. Through interaction with various divine dimensions in the spiritual realm, God wants us to becomeone with Him more, even we live to fully depend on Him only.

Colossians 2:6 (NKJV) As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him

Colossians 2:7 (ERV) You must depend on Christ only, drawing life and strength from him. Just as you were taught the truth, continue to grow stronger in your understanding of it. And never stop giving thanks to God.

3. Through the interaction with the dimension of the spiritual realm, we will also be able to distinguish the source of any kinds of doctrines, life philosophies or various thoughts that cross in our minds.

Colossians 2:8 (NKJV) Be sure you are not led away by the teaching of those who have nothing worth saying and only plan to deceive you. That teaching is not from Christ. It is only human tradition and comes from the powers that influence this world.
