From observing the work of the Holy Spirit in daily life, I have found that Holy Spirit is the one who initiates prayer. Particularly when we are under pressure, experiencing an unfair or ill treatment from someone or facing a negative fact that hasn’t changed.

When we are facing it, Holy Spirit will move us to cry out to God and He will guide us to say the words that will be surely answered by the Father. The answer is not “no” or “wait” but “yes”. Because it’s not us anymore who pray but the Holy Spirit does.

Romans 8: 26-27 (NKJV) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

From what we pray, we will be firstly changed: the heart attitude, the mindset, and the lifestyle. Holy Spirit will give us His Word to do.

For example, Holy Spirit directs us to forgive and forget other’s mistake, to ponder God’s promise in order to get rid of any negative thoughts then think of all that is good in the lives of others. In essence, our thoughts will be aligned with the principles in Philippians 4:8 (the root of the problem is usually in the mind, even diseases come mostly from the mind and emotion).

Hence, we are no longer influenced by the external factors. Whatever happens, we still stand firm on the truth (the knowledge of God’s attributes) and live in eternal peace and joy. In principle, Holy Spirit will keep upgrading our hearts with the ‘anti-earthquake’ and ‘anti—scratch’ that are getting stronger. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His Word shall remain!

After the Word changes our lives, then changes to the negative facts will occur. Naturally the situation, condition and circumstance will change. Because they (situation-condition) only respond to the Word which come from the mouth of the Father whom in us. God’s Word is certain. Everything must align with the Word. Even the impossible has to align with the possible by His Word. By His Word we will know and experience divine intervention, we will also see and experience that all things work together for those who love Him.

Romans 8: 28 (NKJV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
