This message is still about the daily life that is victorious in all things.
From the last message, we know that God has graced us with a victorious spiritual position. This is the truth because we are now part of His body, and He has prevailed over sin, Devil and death. The problem is, we often lose that victorious position easily.
1. Believing the Devil’s lie is the primary reason of easily losing our victorious position
Someone’s mind is a warzone that will determine whether they could keep enjoying the victory that Christ has given, or to be trapped in the Devil’s deception which will result in their defeat.
Focus and persevere in setting our mind towards the things of the Spirit (God’s promises, word revelation, etc). Therefore, although we will still face the effects and consequences of our past inaccuracies, our focus could be guarded from veering towards the various negative facts. We could have the grit to hold on to the hope that we will defeat whatever negative facts that we must face.
The story will be different if we don’t quickly prioritize and pursue God’s presence and His Kingdom’s reality. We will be ‘trapped’ again in all kinds of worldly activities, where the enemy could easily deceive us to believe in the negative and natural facts that comes from our inaccurate past.
Meanwhile, if we stay focused in guarding the victory that Christ has given, our spiritual position will enable us to stand against all kinds of negative facts, and overturn the situation to become fully victorious.
Psalms 126:5-6 (NASB) Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
Keep holding on to God’s word and promises, because He is still faithful – He will always fulfill His promises!
2. The main problem of most believers is not surrendering themselves to be led by others who are more mature spiritually and have a healthy and accurate knowledge of God
Until today, many believers are still living individually. Their life principle is: It’s only between me and God, and that’s enough!
Meanwhile, such principle will make it easier for the enemy to lead the believer astray. Because they don’t have anyone to discuss what they are facing with who are ‘more neutral and accurate’.
That’s why believers need to live in togetherness and connect themselves with those who are already living accurately. Therefore, their considerations and decision-making could be weighed, tested and confirmed by fellow believers – wrong decisions could be avoided or at least minimized.
We also need God’s servants who are living in a healthy and accurate knowledge of God. The parameter is not how long they have become a Christian or other seniority and natural considerations, but their spiritual maturity and the portion of grace that is already working in their lives.
Give our lives to be led under a servant of God or other believers who are more mature spiritually – those who have a healthy and balanced knowledge of God. Position ourselves in the spiritual hierarchy that God has built in an order of the Body of Christ. I believe they will help us to grow in the spirit of the knowledge of God.
It’s not easy for the enemy to deceive or distract those who have a healthy and balanced knowledge of God. Because they surely know that God is faithful regardless of any trials that they must face. They have an unshakable conviction that regardless of the challenges ahead, God will intervene and make all of them work for their good. They believe that God will always give them strength and a way out to always become victorious (1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 8:28-30).
Learn to ‘give privilege’ to those who take us under their wings. Learn to believe that their instructions will lead us to receive the same portion of grace that is working in their lives. When imparted in our lives, that grace will enable us to do whatever we need to do to once again enjoy a life that is victorious. #iLoveGod
