Once, I heard that a servant of God gave a statement: Often, Christian’s life can be precisely described like a beggar telling other beggars about how or where to get bread to meet their needs.

It’s no more than how to meet their daily needs. Even if it’s drawn to the most extreme and spectacular point, it’s nothing more than how to achieve success, accomplishment and wealth in this life. But still, those who are successful, and rich are still living as a beggar before God!

John 1:12 (NKJV) “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”

For every believer who takes in God’s voice or proceeding Word in his life, there should be a transformation in mentality and stature in his daily life! From sinners to righteous people;  from men to children of God! And these changes should be obviously manifested in daily life!

The way children of God deal with various issues of daily life is totally different from other people who live in this world!  The way the children of God face various challenges and warfare in their daily lives is totally different from other people in this world!

That is why I challenge all of us – readers of the Daily Devotion, to really make every Word that comes in our lives become ‘a medium’ to transform our being, identity, mentality, and stature that we have as a child of The Most High!  Live your daily life in the same way as your Father in heaven!

 1. The Father uses the power of the Word to make what is not exist into existence; to fulfill His plans and thoughts.

Learn to struggle in prayer until He gives His Word and continue to use that Word to ‘create’ ways, opportunities, or resources you need in your life! Use our mouths to keep speaking His Words, use our imagination to imagine how those Words will have been fulfilled in our lives; do it diligently until our hearts blazing.

Live the same way as your Father! He speaks Words and everything is fulfilled; as a child, keep on speaking, speaking His words until all things are fulfilled in this natural realm!

2. The life of Jesus in this world is an ideal example of how a Child obeys and manifests heavenly Father’s existence in daily life on earth.

As regards the existence of Christ as an example or role model of an obedient child, Paul asserted in Philippians 2: 5-7, (NASB) “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.”

The mentality, identity, and stature of a child are to serve – He empties Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant and acts to serve, sacrifice for the Father’s will!

This attitude of the heart may seem very contrary to the understanding that we have had – we think as the Creator, He has the right to do whatever He wants and no one can ‘question’ His decisions.  But Jesus actually shows the opposite example from the perception we have had so far!  It is precisely from the attitude of ’emptying the self’ that the Father highly exalted his Son!

I believe by building a balance between the power of the declaration of the Word and the act of emptying ourselves, the Father’s sovereignty will prevail on us!  He will set our lives as His agents – His representatives on earth!

Stop wanting to just be able to be used by God (albeit in a very powerful way!) But start to yearn for the work of the Word and the Spirit in our lives, which positions and shapes our lives into His representatives on this earth!  #ILoveGod
