2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
The main purpose of Devil’s trick is to control one’s mind (imagination, the way of thinking/argumentation, perception or even our motives), by sowing the ‘tares’ so that by his own decision, he keeps living in sin.
The ‘tares’ are all forms of thoughts that developed in someone’s mind, which comes from his own inaccurate thoughts, gossip – an information that is not fully of truth – or even negative thoughts from Devil. The Devil’s purpose is to make that person to: live in personal deception (feel that he’s always right), have conflict with others, react/respond inaccurately when facing certain situations/conditions, also to doubt/question God’s wisdom & God’s ways.
1. He who always brings ‘tares’ in his life would always ‘bring problems’ within his life, wherever he goes.
The Devil’s main purpose to sow ‘tares’ in someone’s life is to mold that person’s life to be a ‘representative’ of all forms of evil nature that is actually the Devil’s nature. That’s why ‘tares’ are always in the form of thoughts. If someone’s mind has been molded to carry a certain nature, he will automatically manifest the nature that he carries in his mind into his daily life.
That’s why God wants us to keep disciplining our minds to only focus on the truth/His word. So that our minds could be molded with the nature of the Word/mind of Christ, and eventually will start manifesting God’s Divinity in their lives.
Someone who lets his mind to be filled with many ‘seeds from the enemy’, his emotion will automatically keep ‘disturbed’ and his life will always be full of problems – however, the ridiculous thing is, even the source of problems is inside him, but he always blames others. Or, once he confessed his mistakes, he would be ‘drowned’ in guilty feeling, he would feel unworthy and keep thinking negatively which destroy his identity as a son of God.
2. ‘The tares’ are one of main obstacles of the birth of Christ’s Body or corporate life in the midst of His people.
The existence of tares in someone’s life act as an open ‘door’ / opportunity for a fight / misunderstanding that damage the work of the spirit of unity in His church. This hinders the power of prayer to be manifested – because there is still conflict within His people (James 5:12-20, Matthew 18:15-35)
Our effort to keep remembering or seeing the good things in someone’s life would help us to remove ‘the Enemy’s seed’ that keeps trying to take advantage of moments or situations around our lives. By keep focusing our minds on the things from Holy Spirit or truth, we are blocking all the gaps that the Enemy could use (the more we keep conflicts to others, then ’our world’ is actually becoming small – The Devil is trying to isolate ourselves) he always tries to destroy the life’s impact that we have.
3. To overcome ‘the tares’ in our lives, it takes the work of the Holy Spirit to burn us and our openness to change.
The big problem of someone is if he has been deceived or believed their own inaccurate minds. It takes the work of Holy Spirit to convince him, his thoughts/ understandings that he has so far is something wrong, it needs certain corrections before he truly experiences breakthrough in his life.
Without the work of the Holy Spirit, someone who brings ‘the tares’ in his life would usually become stubborn and hard to experience the renew of minds or in his conviction. My suggestion is, pray and ask the Father to give you a gentle spirit, that is easily formed, teachable & willing to change.
By having a heart that focused on the truth, even though we are deceived by the manifestation of ‘enemy’s seed’, the Holy Spirit would bring us to ‘see His righteousness’ and it will set us free from Enemy’s lies!
Receive the grace of His righteousness, experience the freedom from every craftiness of Devil, receive the mind of Christ! #ILoveGod
