While I was watching the Virtual Sunday Service about Hearing God’s voice, I received an impression from the Spirit about what He would do next for us:
1. The Spirit will lead us to keep growing in ‘wisdom, stature, and favor’ before God and men.
When God wants us, His people to push into His presence, I feel the Holy Spirit would ‘raise us up’ as He did to Jesus – when Jesus lived as a man on earth.
Luke 2:52 (NKJV) “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Take notice the words, “increased in wisdom and stature”, the word ‘wisdom’ is written in Greek: Sophia, which can be interpreted as Broad-minded, full of intelligence, often used to describe someone who has broad knowledge and understanding(Proverbs 3:13-19).
While the word “stature”, in Greek; Hēlikia, which can be translated: meet a certain condition that makes him suitable to do something; have a certain reputation – in terms of ministry, referred to as ‘anointed person’.
Note also the word, “in favor with God and men”, ‘favor’ in Greek; Charis, means Good intentions, good actions influenced by a Divine work on someone’s soul.
By digging the verse using Greek words, we understand that the Holy Spirit participated in ‘raising’ Jesus who was still a child at that time.
– The Holy Spirit works to raise Jesus into a person who is wise – intelligent, has a broad-minded.
This principle does not actually talk about human intelligence but rather to His personality that expresses the wisdom of God the Father in His daily life. Solomon explains more detail as follows:
Proverbs 3: 13-18 (NASB) “How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver And her gain better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who hold her fast.”
Solomon emphasis that those who grow in wisdom will:
(1) Be a blessed person,
(2) Obtain wisdom is more beneficial than the profits of gold or silver; more precious than jewels!
(3) Wisdom is far more precious than all things we may desire or cross our minds,
(4) Enjoy a long life or healthiness, riches, and honor,
(5) Enjoy pleasant ways and peaceful paths!
(6) Become a ‘tree of life’ – brings blessings, life for many people,
(7) Become a solution and bring prosperity to many people!
I believe the Holy Spirit will bring us to be a person full of His wisdom. The Holy Spirit will make us see everything we experience every day from God’s own perspective. Therefore, continue to build the longing heart and the measure of faith in our lives, so that the Spirit can work in us and make us full of divine wisdom. The Spirit brings us to begin to see and evaluate all aspects of life that we have from His perspective and to diligently take corrective steps so that our lives become more accurate before Him.
By the work of the spirit of wisdom guiding our lives, God is positioning us to be the answer or solution for others’ lives! #ILoveGod
