There is something we must know about living our daily life as New Creations in His unshakable Kingdom: it’s not the reward of our hard work and natural effort. All is by the handiwork of the Holy Spirit within us!
The word and Spirit must keep working in our lives before we could truly experience the reality of His kingdom. This is especially true if we are still battling against the nature of our unrenewed mind. That’s why we need the continuous work of the word & Spirit in our lives.
Matthew 13:11-12 (NASB) Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
The above verse clearly reveals that something will happen if we ‘have’. God will make what we ‘have’ as a ‘starting capital’ before He gives many others things to us. On the other hand, if we ‘don’t have’, whatever we assume that we’ve ‘had’ will be completely taken away from us.
From this understanding, Holy Spirit guided me to ask several things from the Father. Because He has promised that if we ‘don’t have’ what we are supposed to have, we may ask from Him! And whatever we ask, the Father will give (Mat 7:7-11)!
With all your heart, ask the Father for the following things:
1. Ask for a heart which is always hungry & thirsty for God – a heart that keeps burning with first love
2. Ask for a heart which is meek, teachable, moldable, and wanting to change
3. Ask for the spirit of prayer to work inside us
4. Ask for the spirit of wisdom, revelation and knowledge of God to work inside us
5. Ask for a spiritual stature that is always victorious, full of authority, impact and power
The five points above is the ‘starting seed’ we must have. Without them, we won’t continue to experience the deeper work of the word & Spirit.
And so, I hope and pray:
Let us take our active measure. Let us push into the Father’s presence and ask Him for the five things above. Let His seeds initiate the building process of our lives as His spiritual temple. Let His glory fill our hearts, and manifest in and through our everyday life! #iLoveGod
