The moment of the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh is a grand feast that we as believers should not miss. Because God will make us partners for the realization of the agenda of the kingdom of heaven. But unfortunately, there are many of us who are not ready to enter that event for various reasons.

If we refer to the verse of God’s Word, it is written the condition is the same as what Jesus described below:

Luke 14:15-24 (NKJV) Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!” Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ”

It’s interesting to note the reasons people were invited but ‘not ready’ to come. They give reasons that EXPOSE THEIR HEART INCLINATION, that they are actually NOT INTERESTED in the invitation and think it is not very important to attend the party. So, there are just reasons put forward, even though these reasons are not appropriate to serve as an excuse.

In short, THEY DID NOT INTEND TO COME, so they just had other things to do. No wonder the master who invited them became FURIOUS, and finally decided to replace them with someone else.

This morning I pray for believers who accept the ‘first invitation’ for a change of heart inclination towards God and His will! Let God’s grace and mercy be poured out, soften the heart, and cleanse it. Let the work of the Spirit and the Word, and wisdom and revelation, always work upon the believers.

So that they can see and understand what is the hope of His calling: “How rich is the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

In the last days God is resurrecting the ministry of the body of Christ (corporate). Although there are people who will function individually like Esther, there is still ‘Mordecai’ and the crowd (corporate) who support her.

God wants to bring us in as one ministry of the body of Christ that is one spirit, one purpose, one agenda. But if we refuse or are not interested in this, then He will replace us. We will only be spectators of the great feast of the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh!

So, let’s fix the inclination of our hearts, lest we hold the wrong hope for the future. There is no beautiful future from what the world has to offer. Although it looks beautiful on the front, it is fragile and broken behind it.

Lot is an example of a person who chose a future in Sodom and Gomorrah that looked like the ‘garden of God’. We all know that Lot and his family were destroyed and Sodom and Gomorrah were scorched by God. Lot made the wrong decision, he should have stayed with Abraham.

For that, it is time for us to direct our hearts to the spiritual house agenda that God has set. Do not go out of the house, but be firmly rooted as a child in the house. So that we ‘do not need to be invited’, but instead become organizers and main actors of the great feast of the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh! Amen!
