I realized that the Spirit draws our attention to focus on eternal things. Just like what Jesus did when He interacted with other people on this earth. He taught them to focus on the Kingdom of Heaven. The same message is also carried by the Holy Spirit in our midst today.

Matthew 6:33 (NET) But above all pursue His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Why is the above verse so important? Because it will save us from the uncertainty of the world nowadays, and make us move in a different direction from this world. Like it or not, we will go against the current and be the center of attention. They will see God’s providence, power, love and sovereignty over us. That is when they began to be interested in walking on the same path as us, God’s way.

Most people focus on their necessities in life (clothing, food and shelter). For those who are in the upper class, they are no longer bothered with basic needs, but they are looking for a glamorous life, position and power to gain more and more. In short, all classes in society are dependent or conditioned to SEEK and PURSUE MONEY.

I haven’t see a huge difference between believers and other people. Many believers still carry the same worldly pattern, which is to fulfill basic needs. Basic needs are not something we should pursue, because God has prepared them. We just need to focus on what is eternal, the Kingdom of Heaven, which speaks of righteousness, peace and joy.

1. Live by His Words and do as what He told us.

This is a very easy life and we don’t have to struggle. All that we have to do is stay connected to God’s reality; think about the things in the Spirit, keep our hearts pure and stay away from negative emotions. Thus, the Word of God will always flow into us. That is who we are, our strength and the solution to everything!

2. Hold on to our peace and joy.

This is an eternal thing and we must guard it in all situations and conditions. Make the decision to rejoice and always have peace in your heart! It should be a firm decision in our life. If we live in peace and joy with God and others, GOD WILL SEND HIS BLESSING AND A LIFE THAT SWALLOWS DEATH IN VICTORY will always be part of our life. We don’t need to seek blessings and all other necessities of life. God will command all things to come to us!

Psalm 133:1-3 (NET) A song of ascents; by David. Look! How good and how pleasant it is when brothers TRULY LIVE IN UNITY. It is like fine oil poured on the head, which flows down the beard—Aaron’s beard, and then flows down his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, which flows down upon the hills of Zion. Indeed, that is where the LORD HAS DECREED A BLESSING will be available—eternal life.
