Isaiah‬ ‭55:1-3‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬) Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

I believe in these days, He is revealing Himself as the King who is inviting us to participate in His banquet. God wants us to respond accurately to His invitation.

From the Scripture above, God wants us as believers not only to live a spiritual life outwardly or mere religiously, but to experience the reality of God who lives and grips our hearts in every activity we do. So that we will always thirst to pursue the reality of His presence, and in the reality of His presence we will always be satisfied.

Our hearts will no longer be inclined to worldly things that indeed drain, make our lives insatiable, even slowly but surely brings our lives to ‘death’, like those who continue to focus on the pattern or mold of this world.

God’s Word emphasizes, if our hearts incline only toward God and the reality of His Kingdom and prioritizes divine things as the essential thing we pursue, then all that is sought and pursued by the gentiles, will be added to us. (Matt. 6:31-33).

God is calling His people to pursue and push into His presence to be re-trained by His Spirit, to have a divine life as a priest.

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

This is our identity in God as His chosen people. He has ordained His people to be priests who live to serve God the King in His Kingdom.

The pattern of the world has hitherto formed a thought among believers, that the life of a priest is only for certain people who dedicate their lives to serving God full time, such as pastors, full-timers in churches, and so on. It is like the tribe of Levi to the Israelites. However, Hebrews 9:1-10 clearly emphasized when Jesus ascended into Heaven and became the Great High Priest (New Testament era), the layout of the tabernacle on earth and in Heaven changed, there was no longer any part of the court as in The Old Testament with the brazen laver for people to cleanse their lives of sin and transgression.

There are only the holy place and the holy of holies, which indicate Christ’s sacrifice has become a perfect ransom sacrifice for each of believers, where our lives have been fully considered worthy to always be able to approach His holy place and experience the reality of God’s presence that always be real.

In other words, God wants His people to build a living fellowship, which always interacts with His reality, serves Him, and pleases His heart, like the priests in serving God.
God wants us not only to become ordinary church members but to build a lifestyle as a priest.
