This message is a continuation of yesterday’s message.

We are discussing the preparation that believers should undergo to be able to partner with God as a means or instrument for the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh.

1. Continue to persevere in a lifestyle of denying yourself and taking up your cross.

2. Continue to build a lifestyle of prayer and worship.

Prior to the outpouring of the Spirit in the upper room of Jerusalem, all the disciples were united in prayer (Acts 1). Before God brings out the outpouring of the Spirit for everyone, we must build a lifestyle as prayers and worshipers. The Bible foretold that after Christ’s resurrection, there was one utensil from the holy room that moved into the Most Holy, namely the golden censer that was with the ark of the covenant which was a picture of God’s reality (Hebrews 9:1-10). The ‘golden censer’ is a picture of the life of a prayer and worshiper.

Acts 1:14 (NKJV) These all continued with one accord in prayer [b]and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Perseverance and unity in prayer are the most important elements for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit from the throne room into the life of His church. Later the outpouring of the Spirit will flow from within the lives of believers to the whole world.

a) By praying, we are continuously emptying ourselves of various forms of SELF, HUMANITY and worldliness.

The prayers we say will never change God, because God never changes. But the more we dedicate our lives to God, and the more we persevere and be united in prayer, the more easily we will empty ourselves of all forms of ego. So that we can have thoughts and feelings as in Christ Himself (Philippians 2:5).

In other words, without us having a spirit of prayer and worship, it is difficult for us to practice an empty life. As long as we live in the spirit of prayer, humanity and the flesh will never appear again. Because people who truly live in prayer, cannot at the same time live in sin.

Always remember the principle: God will only act to fill the empty vessel of life! By living empty, then God will fill us with all His divinity.

Philippians 2:5-11 (NKJV) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Living in obedience to empty oneself and always give oneself (available) for the Father in heaven and for the work of His plan, is the reason why the Father in heaven highly exalts Jesus and even glorifies Him. God wants the same obedience as Jesus, also in our lives as His beloved children, which is to have an obedient life, who offers his life (always available) on His altar for the glory of God and His kingdom.

Train our bodies and ourselves to become houses of prayer and worship for the outpouring of God’s reality that will fill us with all divinity. So that our lives become the carriers of His reality. Amen.

This message will continue again tomorrow.
