For so long, our lives are led by our own self, money, and this world. We do something (our activities, work, etc) because there are ‘life necessities’, desire of heart, and pressure from situations and circumstances. Although in the end we may become ‘successful’, but we don’t experience God being with us like what we’ve read in the Bible. Our lives are ‘ordinary’ just like everyone else in general. Not many miracles happened, nothing great happens, and there are no divine things happening in our day-to-day lives. Without knowing, we do everything by our own strength. Whereas, since someone interacts with God’s Word and reality, God’s great and mighty works will start to be with their life.
Just mention Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Samuel, David, Elijah, Elisha, etc. It’s as if their life stories are ‘mere fairytales’ to be read, and not to be experienced! Meanwhile, God wants us to experience the same things as them, and even much greater. If God could use the Bible heroes who are ‘full of weaknesses’ mightily, won’t we experience what they’ve experienced even the slightest if we want to live accurately and do the right thing?
It’s time for us to walk in aggressive faith within God’s world. Therefore, miracles won’t become something ‘surprising’ for us anymore, but something normal that happens in our daily life. The question is, do we want to ask for it? Or are there still many humanistic logic which makes us reluctant to live in boldness of faith?
It’s been far too long for our daily life to be ‘just like that’, to go day by day to ‘look for daily needs and comfort of life’ without a living relationship with God. But now is the time for our everyday life to transformation completely. We become those who live from His word alone. We live our everyday life according to His word, and as a result, a portion of faith becomes a standard in our life.
We do not pursue after the success of other people, and we do not live outside of God’s plan – we live according to His will! Our obedience to God’s word will guard us within the center of God’s perfect will. But to live according to His word, there is no other way but through the process of renewing of mind.
Romans 12:1-2 (NASB) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
This is the process of divine molding by the work of God’s Word and Spirit which will align our conviction, heart attitude and lifestyle to the truth. We must spend time to read the word and declare it and study it deeper until we receive understanding; this will condition our spiritual senses to be ‘sensitive’ to His voice. That’s what will make our spiritual frequency (heart inclination) to be ‘cut off’ from this world, and connected to the throne room of God. We will start to be able to receive the word that proceeds from the mouth of God! We can receive our true identity and function in His unshakable kingdom! We are within the center of God’s perfect will – we live in God’s world!
When we start to live in our true identity (portion of faith – Romans 12:3) and function as a member of the body of Christ, then that’s the time we will experience very tangibly that God is with us. God will distinguish our life. Miracles, wondrous signs, His marvel and perfect provision – we will experience all of them in our everyday life. In short, God will make us as a ‘sign and wonder’, and as witnesses that God is real and He is still working! #ILoveGod
