In prayer, Holy Spirit explained something: God will keep lifting us up, and we will never go down. God will pour out lavishly upon us the various abilities, blessings, positions, and everything we need to become much more impactful. However, remember, when all of that happens, never let go of the INCLINATION of HEART WHICH DEPENDS ON THE LORD IN ALL YOUR WAYS.

For a moment, my heart was astonished to heart that. My spirit trembles so much. Because who knows that the heart starts to rely on our own strength? If we are not cautious in the middle of a condition where we have ample amount of skills, blessings, and position, there is a great chance for us to rely on them. Moreover, if we have been drifted in a comfortable life because of abundant blessing and ‘comfort of life’, our heart could very easily shift without knowing. We become reliant on our own self again, no longer God.

I come to realize about one ‘strategy’ of warfare that the enemy has prepared. If it couldn’t hit us with life problems, then it will attack us in the ‘comfort/ease’ of life. It’s a very subtle kind of attack. It shifts the inclination of our heart until we no longer ‘remember and realize’ that we couldn’t live without the power from God. We are made to forget that we could ‘go up’ only because of God’s faithfulness and sovereignty alone.

Once again, Holy Spirit emphasizes: BEWARE THE TENDENCY OF YOUR HEART!

God truly understands about the condition of man’s heart in general. He has interacted with the Israelites, His chosen people, who still carried the pattern of this world. Miraculous deeds, wondrous signs, and great things are with Israel. They are all aimed to make Israel’s heart and mind realize that without God, they can’t do anything! So, God’s actual purpose in demonstrating His power is not for other nations, but to change Israel’s heart attitude so they could always rely on God. Even with all that God has done, they are still obstinate (arrogant).

When we keep living in obedience, Holy Spirit will lead us to be in the center of God’s perfect will. There, we will experience many miracles from the Lord. But Holy Spirit strongly said, “they are all aimed to make you realize that without God, we are actually nobodies who can do nothing.” So supposedly, God’s miraculous deeds make us more and more reliant upon Him. Because God won’t stop at showing His miraculous works, but He will make us someone who demonstrates the power of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are the ones who will become executors of God’s miraculous deeds. What we speak will surely happen. What’s impossible becomes possible, and what didn’t exist will be created into existence just by uttering the word. But to reach such position, we need a heart that is ‘fixed and unshakable’ in fully relying and depending on God.

Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NASBThus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord. “For he will be like a bush in the desert And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt without inhabitant. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.

I believe, if we ‘succeed’ in guarding our heart inclination to stay reliant on Him, we will experience supernatural things in our everyday life. Although our surroundings are ‘dry’, but we will keep growing. Because we are within God’s world that is not influenced by the condition of the surrounding. Our heart inclination of relying on God will connect us to the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven; our lives will be impactful and we will bring down His kingdom on this earth. Depending on the Lord is a concrete form of humility. This is the factor which will make God lift us up so we can rule by speaking.

Matthew 5:3 (TLB“Humble men are very fortunate!” he told them, “for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.

From the meditation above, I will do this every morning before I start my activity. I will once again surrender my life in God’s altar, and ask for God’s government to once again reign over all aspects of my life. For without the reality of His presence, I’m a nobody. I will also make sure that I always have the word every morning; I receive the voice of God in a living relationship with Him. I will pray until He speaks His word. That’s the concrete form of starting to rely on His word before doing our activities! For His word becomes the standard of our everyday living. #ILoveGod
