Becoming a new creation is closely tied with fixing our mind on the things of the Spirit, and making decisions according to Holy Spirit’s will. We must train ourselves to fix our mind on spiritual things and to make accurate decisions every day. Because our old self carried the human pattern, and it will always try to drag us back into it. Meaning, our ideas, decisions and attitude wasn’t the product of word meditation, prayers, or our communication with Holy Spirit.

That’s why we keep producing humanistic ideas, perspective, and decisions. Because we keep observing everything from our own ‘glasses’ – we decide things based on profit and loss, cause and effect, and temporary emotional satisfaction. As a result, we are still immature; taking wrong decisions, speaking at the wrong time, and even hurting others by releasing negative emotion for the sake of satisfying our self/ego.

As new creations, we are supposed to manifest Christ in our everyday life. We should have maturity and wisdom; we shine God’s truth, peace, and joy.

Therefore, to live as new creations, we must build certain habits and lifestyle. We must condition our minds to be fixed on the things of the Spirit. As a result, we could take decisions according to the will of Holy Spirit; that’s how we manifest Christ!

The following are several habits to be built if we want to live as a new creation:

1. Every morning, it is vital for us to push into the reality of His presence; we must fellowship with Him until we receive the word that the Father has prepared for us

This is mandatory! Keep praying until we receive the word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Then, make sure that we imagine and declare the word until our inner man is stirred and blazing. Because truly, as new creations, we live from the word that proceeds from His mouth alone!

2. When facing challenges, call upon God for His word

Challenges are usually the enemy’s attempt to hold us back from doing God’s will. Challenges are also used by the enemy to launch deception, so he could steal our peace and joy.

So, when facing challenges, we don’t need to doubt. Just communicate before His presence! Spend time today. Ask Him for His word to subdue every challenges. Keep pushing into His presence until we could listen to His word clearly.

Listen carefully to this: it is better for us to spend a long time in His presence, rather than hastily execute ideas and decisions that are not sourced from God in our daily life. Because what we decide today will give impact tomorrow. So, make sure that our every thoughts and decisions are right (according to the word/truth), in God’s time, and make sure that they bring peace and joy.

3. Remember and plant this strongly in our mind and heart: as NEW CREATIONS, whatever situation, condition, circumstances, or whoever we face, truly, the only thing we need is HIS WORD!

When the word is in our mouth, declare it! What was impossible will become possible, and what didn’t exist will be created into existence!

The word will always give us hope that “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rm 8:28). And truly, that hope will never disappoint! #iLoveGod
