Matthew 4:4 (NASB) But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
Here are the concrete forms of applying, living, and practicing the above verse:
1. Every morning, make sure that we receive the word that proceeds out of God’s mouth
Receive it through our personal relationship with God. Read the word, pray in tongues, declare the impressions we get from God. Do it until we feel Holy Spirit giving a revelation/explanation/understanding in our life. Then, we could use the understanding as a word material to be reflected, imagined, and declared throughout the day.
2. Write down the understanding we receive, and dig deeper by asking for Holy Spirit’s help to give related verses
By doing this, we could receive stronger intensity of God’s presence and various divine dimensions contained within the verses. When we discipline ourselves to write them down, we will receive the complete understanding of the word revelation that God has given.
3. Bring every aspect of our life before His presence, then ask for His word!
We must do this with a heart that is fully thirsty and hungry for His word! We must have a heart attitude that wants to into His presence without cease. So that whenever and wherever, we can hear His word for every life aspect that we are facing.
With the word, we can subdue every negative fact. We have to understand that every aspect in our life will never be shaken because of the word that proceeds out of God’s mouth. Without the word, we will never have hope and certainty. Without God’s word, everything will surely shake! We will easily become afraid and anxious. But by having the word, our lives will grow stronger and solid!
4. Use the word we receive as our only way towards solutions, victories, breakthroughs and miracles!
For so long, we don’t realize that we are always being faced with two paths; the ways of man or the ways of God. The simplest example is when we are sick. We will have many options: either we pray and declare the word until we are healed, or consume medicine, or both. For us who truly want to live only from the word that proceeds out of God’s mouth, we have no other choice than to pray and declare the word until we become healed!
In principle, God desires us to face everything using His word alone, not others. Through it, we could experience that God is real and that He is still working! And above all, Holy Spirit will always guide us to become witnesses of His greatness and sovereignty, because we become doers of His word (Acts 1:8). #iLoveGod
