Evidently, disciplining our mind to stay aligned with the word we have received has a tremendous impact:
1. We are setting our daily life to always manifest the reality of the word
Our life becomes a message, revealing that He is a faithful God who is able to fulfill His word.
Proverbs 4:23 (ERV) Above all, be careful what you think because your thoughts control your life
Always make sure that we keep thinking of His word. Because automatically, we are making sure (controlling) that our life will always experience what He has said. Every word He gives will always bring us to be stronger, more reliant on Him, more accurate, more impactful, and more pleasing to His heart.
Psalm 92:12-15 (TLB) But the godly shall flourish like palm trees and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted into the Lord’s own garden and are under his personal care. Even in old age they will still produce fruit and be vital and green. This honors the Lord and exhibits his faithful care. He is my shelter. There is nothing but goodness in him!
2. We are conditioning all cells, hormones, glands, muscles, nerves and various other organs in our body to function normally and optimally, making sure that our body is healthy
Doctors have conducted a research and found that the food consumed by a person only contributes to 20% of their health. The biggest factor that influences a person’s health is their mind.
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV) ANXIETY IN THE HEART OF MAN CAUSES DEPRESSION, But a good word makes it glad.
Proverbs 17:22 (NKJV) A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD, LIKE MEDICINE, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
The mind controls a person’s emotion/soul; by having the mind of Christ, our emotions will automatically become stable and always full of joy.
3. We are ensuring that our words and actions always please God’s heart and bless others who interact with us
Proverbs 25:11-12, 15 (TLB) Timely advice is as lovely as gold apples in a silver basket. It is a badge of honor to accept valid criticism. Be patient and you will finally win, for a soft tongue can break hard bones.
4. We are conditioning our spiritual frequency to always stay in line with heaven’s frequency
It becomes easier for us to listen to God’s voice and Holy Spirit’s instructions.
Colossians 3:1 (TLB) Since you became alive again, so to speak, when Christ arose from the dead, now set your sights on the rich treasures and joys of heaven where he sits beside God in the place of honor and power.
Colossians 3:2 (Indonesian Simple Translation) So let your mind be fixed towards heaven, not this world
Romans 8:5 (ERV) People who live following their sinful selves think only about what they want. But those who live following the Spirit are thinking about what the Spirit wants them to do
5. We are conditioning ourselves to always ask for (and receive/experience) divine things in our daily life
What we think are actually requests and prayers before God’s presence. Pay attention to the following verse:
Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that WE ASK OR THINK, according to the power that works in us
Constantly think about His word and align our thoughts with His word. By doing so, we are continuously lifting prayers according to God’s heart. We directly participate in bringing in God’s kingdom through our daily life. #iLoveGod
