When our minds continue to be transformed with the Word, our imagination will be automatically directed towards the divine things so that our mouth will always express our gratitude to God; and our ‘self talk’ will always be positive, optimistic & full of hope for the future.

Colossians 4:2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

1Th 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1. Training ourselves to always give thanks is an active action that we do to ensure the dimension of Faith in our lives will always grow.

Not necessarily we give thanks because we have received the answers of our prayers; but even when the situation / fact seems contradictory compared to what we are praying for, the act of giving thanks will guard our faith from any distractions caused by the facts. We are actually training our eyes of faith to focus only on the Word / promise that God has given us (which we cannot see it yet with our natural eyes).

When the dimension of faith is well-guarded in our lives, we will experience the work of His sovereign power that fulfills His promises / Word in our lives, no matter how impossible it is! So keep being thankful to God.

2. By being thankful, we will always have a profound hope in God that is far greater than the problems/ situations/ facts that we face.

The reason why someone keep feeling anxious / fear about his life is because of his spiritual eyes are ‘covered’ / ‘blinded’ by the problems / negative facts that he faces – actually, no matter how big / small his problem is, if it is that ‘close’ in front of his eyes, of course he will have a hard time to see the existence of God that is far greater than anything in life – So, keep being thankful, and you will always have the power of faith to conquer this world (1 John 5:4)

3. When we keep lifting up our gratitude to God, we are actually rising up a declaration & prophecy that opens up the way for our Sovereign God to make divine intervention in our lives

Giving thanks for something that is still in the form of promise, is actually our action to reassure and convince ourselves that He will never break His promises – we are taking ourselves to live the future in our present day. Our mouth that is usually used by the Enemy to shackle ourselves with various negative facts (by grumbling and complaining), now it becomes a powerful weapon to destroy every obstacles that the enemy has set to hinder us from enjoying the fulfillment of God’s promises.

So keep on using our mouth to lift up our gratitude to Him. Our thanksgiving will give us  a conviction in our heart that He is a faithful God, a good Father & a sovereign King.

4. Sometimes, giving thanks requires ‘coercion/ force‘ from our determination and faith, not from the feeling/ reality that we face

Regardless of any facts or feelings that we have, when we are determined to do what is right – we can always give thanks in all situations!

When we use our mouth to express our thanksgiving for what He has said / promised, we are actually activating the work of the spirit of thanksgiving; even when we still feel the heavy pressure in our heart when we begin to give thanks, but when the spirit of thanksgiving begins to be activated in our heart, it will take us to soar high to have a spiritual position that is far higher than every the facts / problems we are facing.

Enjoy the victorious spirit in every situations through our thanksgiving that we raise before His presence. #IloveGod
