Since last night, Holy Spirit kept ringing a word in my mind: “perspective”. When I started to bring it into prayer, He gave me an impression:

Until today, there are so many servants of God who’ve been successfully distracted by the enemy until they lose the fire of revival in their life. They fail to see, assess, and decide things according to God’s perspective.

1. This world and evil spirits will try to sow their influence into us, conditioning us to assess everything based on this world’s perspective

Our mind could become a warzone. After Jesus defeated the Devil and all angels of darkness through His death and resurrection, the enemy still has one last weapon; deception. And that’s what they have successfully used to attack God’s redeemed people!

Through the interactions and events in our everyday life, the Devil keeps sowing tares to God’s redeemed who are not watchful (Mat 13:24-25). In time, the tares will work to skew our perspective until we fail to assess and decide things based on God’s perspective!

The enemy’s seed talks about all kinds of thoughts that develop within a person’s mind. They could come from the person’s own inaccurate thoughts, gossips, half-truths, or even negative thoughts sown by the enemy. All of them are aimed to make God’s people live in self-deception; they feel that they are always correct and the most righteous.

The enemy’s seed makes us hold grudges against our brothers. It makes us always react negatively and inaccurately when faced with certain situations. It could even make us doubt and question God’s ways and wisdom.

2. Beware of every thought that crosses our mind

God gives us a direction in Philippians 4:8 (TLB): And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: FIX YOUR THOUGHTS on what is true and good and right. THINK about things that are pure and lovely, and DWELL on the fine, good things in others. THINK about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

In the verse, we can find 3 commands: (1) FIX OUR THOUGHTS, (2) DWELL, and (3) THINK (RECALL). All of them are tied with the aspect of our mind!

In our mind, memory and imagination, God commands us to only allow things that are true, good, right, pure, lovely, the fine and good things in others, and things that we can praise and thank God for! That’s divine perspective!
In our natural eyes, we could see negative things happening. Even then, always remember that regardless of all, He is still God who controls and governs over all things. If God allows something to happen to us, we may find it hard to see the good things in it. However, keep believing that He is still a good Father who works through all things for our own good!

Always remember that Father’s plan always have a Happy Ending. If we are yet to be Happy, it means that it is not the End! It means that He is still working. He is not finished yet with His masterpiece in our life! So, keep on believing!

If all of us adopt such a conviction, the enemy’s seeds will never be able to ‘choke’ and distract us from God’s perspective! Always carry His divine perspective – have the mind of Christ (Cor 2:16) – and we will always walk in His ways of victory(2 Cor 2:14). #iLoveGod
