Holy Spirit continuously trains the eyes of my heart and mind to stay focused on the word He gives (His word = my true identity in Christ). It turns out, when I focus on God’s word/my identity in Him, I receive many benefits, especially in living my everyday life. Now, external factors could no longer influence my emotions in a whim!

I become so sure that God controls every single thing. As a result, peace and joy could no longer be stolen from my life! For the whole day, the reality of His presence becomes so tangible. My mind always experiences a constant meditation of the word. This is what makes me live in my true habitat: the reality of His presence!

Without focusing on God’s word, we can often become angry, irritated, disappointed, and emotional, because the enemy has successfully distracted our mind to the external things (the condition and the increasingly wicked system of this world). This causes us to always see the negative in our surroundings. We assume bad things about others, we become easily offended by the words of others, and from everything bad that happens, we blame God! For me, that kind of life is hell! Meanwhile, the Father wants us to experience His Kingdom on earth, where truth, peace, and joy reigns so real over our lives.

This morning, I set my determination to stay focused on the word, and to direct my mind on what is true and good and right; about things that are pure and lovely; to dwell on the fine, good things in others; on all I can praise God for and be glad about. (Philippians 4:8, TLB)

Surely, it’s uncomfortable to keep thinking about other people’s mistakes, magnifying small problems, and make big problems gigantic. Such life is full of burden. How could we flow divine life is our life keeps being clogged by those things? Moreover, if we keep thinking about negative facts, how could we be joyful?

Now I realize that God wants us to respond towards everything with joy! Whether its negative facts, problems, or irritating treatment of others.

Philippians 4:4 (NASBRejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

I feel more and more strongly that the work of God’s Word and Spirit is truly intended to make us a constantly joyful people. We can face and overcome everything with joy!

We truly need to be reshaped because we are already used to responding everything with anger, irritation, sadness, and all other negative emotions. That’s why we must focus our mind on God’s Word & the work of His Spirit. This is the only way to make our lives divine, until we are no longer disturbed by external things. Whatever the condition, to stay joyful is our attitude! This is the life in which the Kingdom of Heaven (truth, peace, and joy) will become so real over our lives!

To rejoice in all things will no longer be a difficult thing for us. Because by staying focused on what God says, we are focusing on our true identity in Christ: we are God’s righteous people filled with peace and joy!

Psalms 16:11 (NASBYou will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Negative facts, problems, diseases, conflicts, and all negative emotions are forms of death. All of them can be removed when we are joyful. For joy is life! Wherever life is, death will surely be removed! For so long, we are so busy trying to overcome/change external factors (which often trigger our negative emotions). But it turns out, we are the ones who should change!

When we decide to respond in joy, we will see changes. Holy Spirit will start guiding us to walk in the ways of God. To live in His ways is a life of pleasures forever; a life filled with truth, peace, and joy. Our part is to focus on God’s word, declare the word, and meditate on everything righteous (Philippians 4:8). When we do our part, divine joy will always shine forth from our hearts! Therefore, take your determination today to rejoice always! #ILoveGod
